Mobile mechanic · Wasatch Front
The mechanic comes to your driveway. You don't have to lose half a day at a shop.
Miguel Santiago is a mobile mechanic serving Salt Lake, Davis and Weber County. Oil changes, brakes, batteries, tires, engine diagnostics and A/C — done at your car, at your office, or in your parking lot. You get the price before the work starts.
25 years in the trade. No shop, no waiting room, no tow bill.
How it works
- You tell us what's wrong. Call or text. A sentence about the symptom is enough to start.
- You get the price before I start. You'll know what the visit costs and what the car needs. Nothing gets replaced or added without you saying yes.
- I work where your car is. Your driveway, your parking garage, your office lot. You keep your day.
- You get the invoice on the spot. Parts and labor itemized, and I'll walk you through anything worth knowing about what I found.
What I do
The work that most often can't wait
These are the jobs that strand a car — and the ones worth doing in your own driveway instead of a shop's waiting room.
Oil change & routine maintenance
Oil and filter, fluid top-off, and a walk-around that catches what's about to become an expensive problem. Scheduled maintenance is the cheapest repair there is.
Brakes, batteries, tires & suspension
Pads and rotors, battery testing and replacement, tire changes and rotations, and the noise-and-vibration work that comes from shocks, struts and steering.
Engine diagnostics & check engine light
A code read means a symptom has a number attached to it. I pull the codes, test the actual system, and tell you what's really wrong — not just which part to buy.
A/C & heating
Refrigerant service and recharge, compressor and blend-door diagnosis, heater cores and controls. A/C that stops blowing cold in a July parking lot is the classic mobile-mechanic emergency. CONFIRM: EPA 609 certification in hand before this claim goes live
Don't see it listed? Call me anyway — the list isn't the limit of the work.
Why trust a mechanic in your driveway
Credentials, insurance, and proof you can check
This is the part most mechanics skip. You're asking a stranger to work on the car you drive every day — you should be able to verify who's doing it.

Straight answers
Questions people ask before handing over the keys
Do I need a garage or driveway?
A driveway is ideal. A parking lot, deck, or garage with power works. If your building needs a vehicle registration or visitor pass, we'll sort that out when we book.
Do you bring the parts?
CONFIRM: parts policy — does he supply them, source common parts locally, or does the customer buy? This changes the pricing promise.
What if you find something I didn't ask about?
You get told, and it waits for your okay. I don't add work to a job because I was already under the car.
What kinds of cars do you work on?
CONFIRM: makes/models, years, anything he won't touch (hybrids, EVs, luxury European, etc.)
How do I pay?
CONFIRM: cards, cash, invoicing, and whether parts are billed separately from labor.
Can you do fleet or company vehicles?
CONFIRM: whether fleet/commercial work is offered — opens a different door if yes.
Do you record calls?
CONFIRM: call recording is not yet configured. Recording policy pending Miguel review.
What warranty do I get on the work?
CONFIRM: parts and labor warranty — 90 days, 6 months, 12 months. This is a trust signal and should be stated plainly.
